I keep on getting an Enter Network Password box, even though both my user
name and password are already entered in the appropriatre boxes and when I
have ticked the save this password in your password list box. this problem
followed me moving two outlook express email accounts to microsoft outlook
and downloading microsoft anti-virus software. i have a pop server account

Sorry for being stupid.

Microsoft Outlook 2003
Windows XP

Yes, I appear to be getting and sending emails without any trouble.

I am having the same issue, using Outlook 2007 and Windows XP. I did find
the article you referenced below
(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290684/en-us) and tried every method listed,
and it still does not work for me. The only thing I couldn't do was create a
new Outlook profile, it told me that it couldn't find me on the server. Do
you have any more suggestions? I am in desperate need of help!

This is what worked for me after trying EVERYTHING I found posted...
Go to Internet Options in your control panel
Click on Security
Click on clustom level
Then scroll all the way down to User Authentication
Check the option “automatic logon with current user name and password”

This did not work for me. I feel it's hopeless. Anyone else have any other
ideas?

I'm having a similar problem with MS Outlook 2007 SP1. Previously behaviour
was normal.

Any ideas, pls?

There were some Windows Updates over the weekend, and, I'm not sure it's
wise to roll them back.
