Hi there,

I've had ongoing problems with getting Outlook to send emails to a
distribution list with attachments, but now it's gotten worse. I'm working
with Vista.

Today, when I started up Outlook, I immediately got the message that Outlook
is "Not Responding." This shows up in brackets following the icon in the
upper left corner.

I have the disk for Office 2007. It has a 1.93 Mb file called Outlook MUI
(Windows Installer Package). I've been thinking that I should uninstall
Outlook and then reinstall it using this file. Does this make sense? If I do
so, I don't lose my data files (emails) do I?

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Bill

Hi Brian,

Thnaks for your prompt response.

I started Outlook in safe mode and tried to forward a messagfe to a
colleague. I was just about finished typing (maybe 50 to 100 words), when I
got the "Not Responding" message. I briefly switched to another program, then
back and the message was gone. I completed the message and then the "Not
Rsponding" came up again.

Finally, I was able to send the message and it showed up in my "Sent" folder.

Any other thoughts about what I should do next?

Thanks,
Bill

You can also check your outlook plug-ins. Try to enable-disable them and restart outlook.

By the way, if you re-setup your outlook email, your email will not be deleted as long as it is in your email server. You can check it on webmail.
