I have a problem with one folder in Outlook on one machine. After a
certain date (irrelevant, but it is 18th october 2006), no mails can be
seen in one folder. If I check from OWA it works fine. I see new
emails. I tried to upgrade to Outlook 2007 as well and it works just as
bad. I have tried to uninstall and re-install as well.

Is there some way to get rid of all settings in Outloo? I have tried to
switch over from cached mode to non-cached mode and back, but it
doesn't work either in cached or non-cached mode. I tried to delete the
..ost-file while in non-cached mode as well. It wasn't deleted
automatically.

I have also tried to delete the files under my profile:
Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

I guess I could try to delete the whole Windows profile, but that seems
like a bad (time-consuming to get other settings back) workaround.

Any ideas how to get Outlook back to normal, unlock the folder or
whatever is needed?

Best regards
Niklas

Thanks alot for the tips, but it doesn't work anyway. When I ran
Scanost.exe I get an error that there is a virus that cannot be
removed. Any ideas how to locate the virus. Is it really a virus? I use
symantec AV on my client. The help-URL gives me nothing, it only
returns to normal support pages. I couldn't find "The item was found to
contain a virus"... either.

Have you tried running outlook /CleanViews ?
If that does not help, go to that folder, View\Current
View\Arrange\Customize and see what filter is applied.

This is a question for an Outlook Express newsgroup like
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.outlookexpress. general. See
