I have a paid Hotmail account because I wanted to be able to use Outlook to
check my mail (I was told once this was necessary).

It seems the timing coincides with the recent update to the look & feel of
Hotmail on the web, but at or around that time, I stopped being able to use
my Hotmail account in Outlook. I was getting an error, something about
cookies & error code 0x800CCC35.

Now after some searching I found some information about that I might have to
use the Outlook Connector so I installed it but it still doesn't work. Once I
added the mail account it gives an error that "The network connection has
been interrupted. Please try again later." In fact that message comes up
every 2 minutes or so when Outlook is open, as long as I keep the Hotmail
account added.

Please, a fix? I've had my Hotmail account now for almost 10 years and would
like to not have to change it, though the alternatives are feeling better &
better every day.
