Hi Paula,
You can use a simple logon script if you want, that might be a relatively
easy way of doing the publishing. If you want I can show you what you need,
ping me off list.

What version of Windows are you using? Do you have your antivirus app
configured to scan incoming mail (you shouldn't)? Is this message Bcced to
you? It appears something may be interfering with the format of the message
and preventing Outlook from decoding the parts.

That un-deletable calendar should be the default calendar in Outlook. It
sounds to me as if that's where the appointments need to be and that's the
one you need to keep. You should be able to change the view in the other
Calendar to All Appointments or By Category or another table view (View |
Current View) and then copy everything to the un-deletable calendar. Once
done, can you then delete this other calendar?

Thanks for your insight Patrick. The whole experience created such a
sinking feeling ;-) that I don't want to try again. It caused too many
changes in my Outlook calendar and my contacts that I'm still fixing.
I'll probably get an iPhone in the future to have my calendar on the
go.. I got my contacts across and that was a plus. So I'm finished
with that for now.
But my real problem is the extra calendar that won't delete. The
details are above. I want just one calendar as it was before and am
seeking the simplest way to do it. My calendar has some repeating
appointments but many "one hits."

I have 2 problems:
1) My MS Outlook 2007 has this extra thing called synchronizing
subscribed folders and it takes like 45 seconds to update. How do I
remove this function?
2) I have 2 inboxes as shown in the picture. One is "All Mail" and one
is "Inbox" How do I make it more clutterless and fix these to only
have 1 inbox

You don't. Outlook figures that you want to be able to see your gmail
messages. It therefore synchronizes the contents of the local folder cache
with the folders on the server.

"All Mail" is not an Inbox. it is a search context (of sorts) provided by
the gmail server that looks like another folder but contains a history of
all the messages that have been in the mailbox. Don't subscribe to it.

It was included in the very message you quoted. It is a registry change.
The message you quoted described that change. It applies to Windows XP
only, though.

Maybe someone has a similar solution for Vista.

On Outlook 2007, I have a rule that works fine looking at the subject.
But I cannot get my rule that looks at the message header to work.
I only have "With specific words in the message header" checked.
I then copied the message directly from the email and pasted it in the
Search Text textbox and Added it - "Going to Sleep for 10 Minutes".
I then told it to delete it.
This is the only thing that this rule does.
It won't delete any of the messages with this message in it.
I only want it to run when I tell it to as I do my other message but it
won't seem to delete anything.
What else do I need to do to get this to work?
Thanks,
Tom

Hello everyone,
I am trying to find that feature that was available in MS Outlook XP and 2003 that when you open an email it should tell you if you forwarded that email, or you sent that email to, or you replied.
I can have this feature with reading pane in MS outlook 2007, but can I have it without reading pane?
So when I open an email it should tell me what did I do with it

Somehow it is working now.
Thanks everyone, maybe I just needed to turn reading pane on and off and now everything looks perfect.

[Running Outlook 2003 on a new XP Pro SP3 installation]
I helped a colleague retrieve her Outlook PST file from a backup this
morning and install it onto a new computer, and while it's picked up her old
emails and calendar, there's a glitch with the contacts, in that Outlook
displays the contacts when one click on the appropriate button in the left
column, but if she opens a new email and clicks on the "To..." button, she
gets the following error message:
"The address list could not be displayed. They contact folder associated
with this address list could not be opened. It may have been moved or
deleted, or you do not have permission."
What's odd is that the contacts (and addresses) are clearly there, but
Outlook can't seem to find them.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

This is asked and answered again and again and again in the Outlook groups -
did you do ANY searching at all before posting?
How was the pst file "installed" on the new computer?

Googling "diredtdbnotifywndproc" offers the suggestion to try
"directdbnotifywndproc", which offers 3,460 pages, almost all of the first
page being relevant to the OP's apparent problem.
