Hi
when auto-archiving, i have set it to run every 60 days, and to clean out anything older than 6 months and shift to an archive.pst , question is will this file just grow and grow in size until i manually drag it somewhere else ?
running outlook 2003, how i will know when the pst is too big?
is 2gb the limit or 20gb ?
can somebody recomend the settings they use ?
cheers

Hello,
I have used Otlk 2000 for 8 years,the last 6 years with XP Pro/SP2.
Recently I was forced to reinstall Office 2000 & thanks to my backup I lost nothing in re-establishing Otlk except a few settings.
The backup program I used was provided by MS but it appears to be no longer avialable.
It was quite speedy, prompted to allow backup every day or when Otlk ws closed.
I dwnld a Demo version of "BackRex Outlook Backup" which also does the job but takes about 10 times as long. Just completed a backup which took 28 minutes !!!! Worse I have to remember to do it regularly or risk loss of info if I have a crash.
I have also learned to do the backup manually which is acceptably quick but a bit tricky.
In each case I am unsure how to check that the backup is working correctly.
So if anyone can help:
1) with source for original MS add-on
2) suggest better alternative for auto backup.
3) Advise how I can test to ensure the backups are being correctly filed.
Many thanks,
Peter O

One of our users has a "number of items" displayed next to her Calendar icon just like it displays by other folders in Outlook. The number is displayed as (3) and never changes.
We tried deleting her profile and recreating it. Tried closing out of Outlook and going back in, and tried a restart.
Any ideas on why the number of items is displaying next to her calendar icon?
Thanks,
Neicha
