| Search does not find messages in Outlook 2007 [message #299835] |

Hello All,
I have Outlook 2007 and Windows Desktop search trunning on a Windows
XP Professional machine. The indexing has been completed but I noted
that the search will not find certain emails, which contain the text
that I am searching for in the content. I can find the message by
author, subject, etc. but not based on the keyord.
This makes me dowbt of the reliability of the search.
Any ideas of what might be going on?
Kind regards

oops, that didn't work out right. Again, bear with me here ... I'll catch
on.
I think I may have needed to include this ... I use Outlook Express 6.
Sorry, I'm new to the computer.

When I have a new email open I clicked on the Manage Styles icon and
chose import to try and pull my style definitions from my word
documents and templates.
I click on Close for normal.dotm, and then find that when I click on
Open nothing happens! I can't even reopen normal.dotm
Is this working correctly?

| Setting and restricting styles in Outlook 2007 [message #299035] |

I have spent some time creating Multi-Level list styles in Word 2007
that work great. Now I would like these styles (and ONLY these
styles) to be in every email that is created when I select New Email.
I tried putting these into normalemail.dotm, but this doesn't seem to
keep the restrictions and hide the default styles etc, nor does it
keep keystroke assignements as far as I can tell.
I then tried creating an Outlook Template and this seems to work, but
I can't work out where to tell Outlook that I want to use that
template as my default for ALL emails - at the moment I can only
select it from File, New, User templates.
How do I make this the default when New is chosen?
What is the best way to distribute a standard Outlook template with
restricted styles in a corporate environment?

We are using Outlook 2003 and Windows SBS 2003 (Exchange SP2), we have
created a number of simple forms as OFT files and stored them in a shared
folder on the network. The users can open the forms by looking in "User
Templates in file system" but some users get an error mesage when they try
to send a message using the forms, the error message is "You do not have
sufficient permissions to perform this operation on this object". If they
save the message into their drafts folder first they can then send it, the
users have full access to the directory that has the forms.
Can someone tell me which permissions I need to change to allow the users
permission to send these forms

I'd like to be able to search on strings in the internet header as well as on
strings in Subject, Message, etc.
The otherwise admirable X1 doesn't do it. Does anybody know of a
search/indexing tool that will?
Thanks!

Hello,
I have an outlook user who has an exchange account set up. No matter
if he is on his laptop or on his desktop there is a delay in opening
the message in the preview window. You can click around on a few of
them and then there is a delay. After the delay its fine again for
several other emails and then it lags. This is not just on new emails
but on some previously read ones. I have emptied IE cache and turned
off messenger option as well. This is only happening to this one user
account. I have other users with more email in there inbox and the
same issue does not occur. Any ideas? OR why this is happening?

I posted this problem to the VBA group, but I'm not sure it's a vba
problem, so I'm posting it here as well; my apologies.
With Windows XP Pro, SP-2, and Office 2003 SP-3:
I recently installed Office 2003 (recovering, migrated to a new HD,
and cleaning up the mess). I now find that either macro (Alt-F8) or
macro editor (Alt-F11) causes an almost immediate OL crash, with no
useful error information that I can see. I've deleted vbaProject.otm.
OL doesn't even create a new one. I've also disabled all add-ins. No
help.
Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated. THANKS.

Hi,
I didn't get a reply in the Access newsgroup so I thought I would give
it a shot here:
Our Access 2003 application uses the SendObject command to interface
to Outlook. We have a client who used to use Outlook Express. They
just recently switched to Outlook. Within Internet Explorer, they
went to Tools/Internet Options/Programs and set their default e-mail
program to Microsoft Office Outlook. But the interface between our
application and Outlook no longer works.
Is there any other setting in Windows XP that has to be set to
recognize the change?

For some strange reason, Outlook 2007 started sending all my e-mail as
blanks. However, the receipient can click on REPLY to open.
I have never used any type of signature, encrypted or initiated any
kind of privacy measure. I have searched through all the commands,
menus and toolbars but still can't figure this out. It seems as
though this may be a private way to send e-mails.
There were other problems so I reloaded Outlook 2007 and also clicked
on DEFAULT SETTINGS.
NOTHING CAN STOP IT!
How do I turn this off? I have a large newsletter to send out and no
one will get it. HELP!
Thanks.

Suddenly without warning all my inbox messages from one account only (of 2)
have automatically relocated to my sent items folder. This happened without
shutting down, it did this when i left my PC for 30 minutes. I thought they
were all deleted until I saw them in my sent items - which now has mail sent
to ME! I have not adjusted any settings etc - not intentionally anyway, I
am using Outlook from Office 07 with Vista

I am the Administrator on my home machine. If I try to move an email from

about permissions. This has only recently started happening. XP Home and

My boss uses Outlook 2007 to check his Exchange account which is
outsourced with AppRiver. He has Vista. Everything has been working
fine until he installed SP1. Now, Outlook 2007 constantly freezes
when checking/sending mail. He has to right click the system tray and
cancel server request. Anyone see this before? Any suggestions?
Thanks,
